#28:  Jeff Fisher (Tennessee Titans)

His stint in Los Angeles has not been nearly as fruitful as it was for the Tennessee Titans, but Jeff Fisher remains one of the most respected coaches in the game.  Now that he actually has a quarterback the feeling is his impact will really start to show as it did when the same thing happened years ago.  Back then in the mid-1990s, the Houston Oilers were a rebuilding franchise and needed young blood to help get things off the ground.  Fisher took on the challenge.  The team became competitive almost right away.

From 1995 to 2003, the Oilers, who later became the Titans, never finished with a record worse than 7-9.  They made the playoffs four times in that span and reached Super Bowl XXXIV in 1999, driven by the iconic Music City Miracle.  It’s sad his legacy there came down to one yard, which was how far the Titans came from tying that game and forcing overtime with seconds left.  Fisher never got that close again, but the Titans have not been to the playoffs since he left in 2011.  That should say something about what he really meant to them.
