General manager Trent Baalke and new San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly are two alpha-male figures that are now on one accord for the better of the historic franchise. A sour ending to the Jim Harbaugh era transitioned to the 16 game tenure of Jim Tomsula now leads us to present day.
The keys to the car have been handed to Kelly, who was pretty much driven out of Philadelphia due to his “effectiveness” to make quality personnel moves.
He won’t have that type of power with the Niners and Baalke will make sure of that. So on the agenda for Kelly is to mold and construct the 49ers back to respectability. He has a roster that probably has more youth than it does actual usable talent to win the NFC West so it will more than likely take an actual reclamation project.
Year one of the Kelly era in the Bay Area will feature a schedule that is tied for first in strength of schedule. Let’s focus on the standout games to watch for the 49ers 2016 season.
