Week 6: vs. Denver Broncos

The first of two divisional games against the Broncos in a span of less than three weeks, Rivers for some reason loves taking on the Broncos regardless of the circumstance. If you recall from Week 17 in the 2015 season, the Chargers had a 20-17 lead against the Broncos in the fourth quarter and were close to spoiling home-field advantage for Denver as it eventually led to a Super Bowl championship.

Think Rivers won’t be hyped for a rematch? Especially with Allen and his receiving corps in tow? Getting RB Melvin Gordon established will be vital here as well, as the running game element can of course keep a defense honest. The Broncos running game will be active as well, so linebackers Manti Te’o and Denzel Perryman will have to be alert and active on their own.
