Something weird happened for just the second time since QB Phillip Rivers took over as the full-time starter in 2006: The Chargers suffered an under .500 season by going 4-12. A great deal of that losing is based on the injury bug biting the roster pretty hard.

WR Keenan Allen was placed on season-ending injured reserve because of a kidney ailment. Along with Allen, starting CBs Brandon Flowers and Craig Mager, OL Orlando Franklin and King Dunlap, DL Corey Liuget, and RB Brandon Oliver are just a few of the names who missed a considerable amount of time.

During the offseason, the Chargers set out and made a few tweaks here and there to the roster. Signing a deep threat at WR in Travis Benjamin and add a solid overall corner in Casey Hayward while also adding Brandon Mebane on the defensive line gives the team three solid veterans. Drafting DL Joey Bosa and TE Hunter Henry adds talent to a roster that may not be quite ready for a division championship but definitely win more than four games in 2016, IF they can stay healthy. Let’s take a look at the key match-ups on their upcoming schedule.
