The 1999 Rams are the poster child for teams being able to go from worst in the NFL to a Super Bowl title.  So why can the Jacksonville Jaguars do the same?

It’s not an easy thing to do for the simple reasoning that the Rams are the only known team of the Super Bowl era to do it.  However, that means it’s possible so it’s fair to ask why the Jaguars can’t pull it off.  In fact, there are five solid reasons to believe they can.  Similar reasons that the Rams had but people took for granted 17 years ago.  Here they are in no particular order.

Motivated Head Coach

Like Dick Vermeil back during that year, Gus Bradley knows his grace period is at an end.  The Jaguars have had a long enough time to rebuild their roster and expectations are this team should be ready to start winning football games.  If they fail to do so in 2016, than the only explanation left is that the mission is above the current coach’s head.  Bradly has yet to win more than five games in a season with this team.  One can bet ownership is thinking about that.  Patience goes only so far in the NFL and Bradley has been given a longer opportunity than most would have in his position.  So he will have every incentive to make sure his guys are ready.
