Miami Dolphins (4-12)

Biggest Strength:  Wide Receivers

If there is one area of the roster that looks ready to take off in Miami, it’s their receiving corps.  Jarvis Landry is an established star already.  First round pick from last year DeVante Parker should be ready to take the next step.  Kenny Stills will provide some speed on the outside and don’t be surprised when underrated rookie Leonte Carroo starts making some plays for Ryan Tannehill.

Biggest Weakness:  Secondary

There are serious question marks surrounding the back end of that Dolphins defense.  Byron Maxwell is their most proven corner and he was traded after just one season by Philadelphia.  Xavien Howard is a rookie 2nd round pick who has questions surrounding his speed.  The only proven player they have in place is Reshad Johnson.  Put that uncertain group behind an aged defensive front that is one injury away from being dangerously depleted and it’s not the typical recipe for success.

Final Record Reason

Teams that switch both head coaches and general managers tend to struggle improving from the previous year.  Time is needed to get the systems installed the right players in place.  Beyond that though is the reality that Miami lost two of its best defenders to free agency and are putting their faith in pass rushers who may have already played their best years.  Lot of obstacles to overcome in such a tough division.
