Green Bay Packers (11-5)

Biggest Strength:  Wide Receivers

The return of Jordy Nelson is a huge boon for this position group.  When he was healthy the Packers wide receivers were so dangerous.  Randall Cobb, Davante Adams and Jeff Janis will be made better by his presence and Aaron Rodgers an even more effective quarterback than he already is.  Nelson is the target he trusts most and the one who gets everything going.

Biggest Weakness:  Linebackers

Still a lot of unknowns regarding the Green Bay linebackers.  Of course Clay Matthews is still a star.  Julius Peppers though is entering his late 30s.  How much longer can he go?  Jake Ryan and Sam Barrington aren’t much to consider at inside linebacker.  Perhaps recent draft picks Kyler Fackrell and Blake Martinez could step up but that’s not a guarantee.  So as things stand that position has not gotten better.

Final Record Reason

It comes down to simple facts here.  Any team that has an elite quarterback like Aaron Rodgers is going to probably make the playoffs.  It’s just the way things work.  Maybe the defense can be a bit better or the offensive line a bit stronger but at the end of the day this team is good enough to win 11 games, get a wild card and prepare for another run at the Super Bowl.
