Denver Broncos (8-8)

Biggest Strength:  Pass Rush

Von Miller and Demarcus Ware still form one of the most potent tandems in the NFL at sacking quarterbacks.  Throw in a healthy Shane Ray, their former 1st round pick from 2015 and there is no reason to think the Broncos will stop making life miserable for opposing passers.  Provided they get reasonable coverage, as they should from that secondary, it should be more of the same.

Biggest Weakness:  Quarterback

Peyton Manning wasn’t Peyton Manning last year, but the one thing he brought to the quarterback position was an ability play efficient and run the offense well.  Anybody who thinks Mark Sanchez will be an improvement is kidding themselves and it’s foolish to think Paxton Lynch, a rookie, will do much better.  That position has taken a step back, at least for this year.

Final Record Reason

Most of the optimism for 2016 among Denver Broncos fans is because of their defense.  However, is that really warranted?  They lost two key pieces to that great unit that won the Super Bowl in Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan.  Throw in the lingering concern on the offensive line and at quarterback, not to mention the injury bug and this team appears ripe for a downturn.
