2016 NFL Season: Final Record Predictions For All 32 Teams
By Erik Lambert
Tennessee Titans (7-9)
Biggest Strength: Defense
Even before the regime change, the Titans were on a course towards building a pretty solid defensive unit. The fact they have Dick LeBeau, one of the best coordinators ever running the show only makes it easier to trust they should do well. Give him pieces like Jurrell Casey, Austin Johnson, Kevin Dodd and Brian Orakpo and it should be a difficult time trying to score on this team.
Biggest Weakness: Wide Receivers
Improving the pass protection of Marcus Mariota was priority #1. Tennessee absolutely did the right thing by focusing on that first. However, in doing so they weren’t able to make any significant additions at wide receiver. Kendall Wright, Dorial Green-Beckham and Harry Douglas aren’t a bad trio but they don’t have the star power most quarterbacks need to reach their zenith.
Final Record Reason
The saying goes “You have to learn to crawl before you can walk.” It’s been a long time since the Tennessee Titans were winning football game and it may take this young roster going through so growing pains before they get back there. Their talent will get them some big victories but the inexperience and shift in coaching staff will keep them out of the playoff picture.
