This 2016 NFL season is going to feature plenty of surprises, just like every new one does.  That includes which teams will emerge with winning or losing records.

The following countdown will offer team-by-team predictions for how the season will fare for them, from the final win-loss total to the primary reasons these good (or bad) fortunes come about.  Not everybody will agree, but be prepared for a few big surprises.

Cleveland Browns (2-14)

Biggest Strength:  Hue Jackson

For the first time in what feels like decades, the Browns have finally hired a head coach with some credibility and presence to him.  Hue Jackson is a proven offensive coordinator with tons of football experience, including a stint in Oakland as a head coach.  He knows the task it is to rebuild a perennial loser and that knowledge will be of incalculable value moving forward.

Biggest Weakness:  The Roster

Free agency hit the Browns really hard.  They lost several good players on both offense and defense.  As big as their draft haul was, the fact remains 14 rookies aren’t going to rescue this franchise.  At least not in 2016.  Robert Griffin III isn’t ready to carry that offense and outside of Joe Haden their defense seems strewn with holes.

Final Record Reason

It’s a complete reboot in Cleveland.  That includes wiping the hard drives and replacing almost all the inner workings.  This team is going to take the hard road back to relevance and it’s going to take another bad season that will allow them to add more top young talent before they can start thinking about winning.
