Friday the 13th is here and the NFL Mocks staff examined their own personal fears regarding their favorite team looking towards the 2016 NFL season.

On Friday the 13th, black cats run wild and people avoid stepping on cracks with the fear of breaking their mothers back. For NFL fans, broken backs and animals running crazy are just two of their many fears heading into the NFL season.

In the spirit of Friday the 13th, we asked each NFL Mocks staff writer what their biggest fear was heading into next season.

George: With the Eagles there is too much that could go wrong. If Carson Wentz steps on the field and gets hurt or plays horrible, that would be the biggest dissapointment and fear any Eagles fan could have. Also finding out that Doug Pederson was a horrible head coach hire (which many of us have already concluded) would hurt. Worst of all of those fears would be seeing Chip Kelly have success in the NFL.

More from NFL Mocks

Rodney:  Biggest fear for next season is that RGIII gets injured and we go into next off season with QB questions yet again

Eric: Easily it’s Vic Beasley not taking that next step as a player. I understand fully about player progression and being an edge rusher in today’s game require a little more than it did 10 years ago. Dan Quinn has added considerable talent to the defense the past two seasons with the drafting of Neal, Jones, Jarrett, Campbell, and Collins and the FA signings of Upshaw and Shelby. However, the play of Beasley is so vital to the defense that he’s probably the most important player on the defense not named Desmond Trufant. I’m not expecting 19.5 sacks in year two but if Beasley can hit 10 sacks and stay relatively healthy, Quinn will definitely be satisfied with his progress.

Sam: That we paid Brock Osweiler $37 million guaranteed to be no better than the quarterback disaster Houston has housed since Matt Schaub stopped being serviceable. & that it leads to a qb circus again where we start benching qbs & throwing in new ones every quarter.  Also, that Will Fuller drops a wide open TD every game. (Editors Note: More likely than not)

Shawn: Biggest fear is that the commissioner announces in order to make the game safer, a two-hand touch rule will be put into effect for Rob Gronkowski.

Sayre: As the reigning Super Bowl champions breaking in a new quarterback with an elite roster around him, I literally have no fears. Hope no one gets hurt, but this team is teflon to me this season.

Matt: As a Giants fan biggest fear is easy: offensive line injuries yet again. Just need some health and we are super bowl bound yet again

Brady: Tony Romo getting injured. Again. Via a broken collarbone…

Erik: Jay Cutler goes back to being Jay Cutler.

Jon: Christian Hackenberg as the opening day starter. That would ruin his career.
