From Derrick Thomas to Charles Woodson, Joe Greene to Terrell Suggs, the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award has been the launching pad for a number of prominent, game-changing defenders. The men who take the field with intentions on making life rough for anyone on offense.

This past 2015 season, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters walked away with the award after totaling 60 tackles, eight interceptions, and 26 pass deflections. Looking through the scope of this year’s draft, the defensive side of the ball presented a ton of elite prospects who can walk away as possible ROTY candidates on the defensive side of the ball.
