DB. West Virginia Mountaineers. K.J. DILLON. B.
The Texans have struggled to secure reliable play at the safety position for some time. Quintin Demps was resigned during the offseason and Houston added Antonio Allen during free agency. Demps started alongside Andre Hal last season, but neither had exceptional production.

Staring down the barrel of a division of young quarterbacks in Andrew Luck, Black Bortles, and Marcus Mariota, Houston will need reliable secondary play now more than ever. Safety is a position where the Texans will need to improve if they want to continue to compete in the AFC South.

K.J Dillon played largely in the shadow of teammate Karl Joseph during his time at West Virginia, but he is a playmaker in his own right. He had 14 passes defended and four interceptions over the past two seasons.

A big, physical talent, Dillon has good awareness and great athleticism. His cover skills are impressive, and could develop at the next level. Down the line, he has the potential to contribute in an area where Houston desperately needs to improve.
