WILL FULLER. B.
Houston was widely projected to take a wide receiver in the first round and they did just that. The Texans traded up one spot with Washington, and with the 21st overall pick, selected Will Fuller, WR from Notre Dame.

Fuller is electric in the receiving game, consistently making plays for big chunks of yardage. Over the last two years at Notre Dame, he hauled in 138 receptions for 2,352 yards and 29 touchdowns. Fuller averaged almost 20.5 yards per catch during his college career.

Fuller’s speed makes him a dynamic threat on the field, and his ability to improvise and adjust to plays is dangerous. But Fuller has a bad habit that keeps his selection from an A grade. He dropped almost 15% of his catchable targets last season. That is about one out of every seven passes.

Houston was searching for a quick weapon to play opposite of DeAndre Hopkins, and they may have found it in Fuller. He will open up the passing game and give Osweiler another viable target. But Fuller will need to work on his drop issues. Great separation and untouchable speed do not mean anything if he can’t get his hands on the football.
.
