The newly-minted Los Angeles Rams certainly made a splash in the 206 NFL Draft. While the picks they made were not surprising, they did address key positions in need of replacements.
GM Les Snead had a clear-cut game plan entering the draft and got what he wanted. In 2015, the Rams were dead-last in the NFL in total passing yards, so the team’s aerial attack needed to be improved. Snead did just that. He started by taking a potential franchise quarterback in Jared Goff.
Then, he surrounded his gunslinger of the future with two new wide receivers and two tight ends.
- Jared Goff, QB, California
- Tyler Higbee, TE, Western Kentucky
- Pharoh Cooper, WR, South Carolina
- Temarrick Hemingway, TE, South Carolina State
- Josh Forest, LB, Kentucky
- Michael Thomas, WR, Southern Miss.
How will each of these players fit in with the Rams and were they the correct picks? Here are the Rams draft grades.
