The draft is over, now it’s time to take a step back and see what the Bucs got.  Overall I’d say Tampa got a pretty good haul.  They got some talented young defensive backs, a pass rusher, and a couple of specialists.  In case you missed it here are the newest Buccaneers rookies.

  • Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida
  • Noah Spence, DE, Eastern Kentucky
  • Roberto Aguayo, K, Florida State
  • Ryan Smith, CB, North Carolina Central
  • Caleb Benenoch, OT/OG, ucla
  • Devante Bond, OLB, Oklahoma
  • Danny Vitale, FB, Northwestern

Now unless you’re a hardcore draft addict, like we are here at NFL Mocks, then you might only know a couple of these players.  That’s alright because we have scouted and broken down all of them.  This insight puts us in a position to break down each pick in every round, including all seven of the Bucs draft picks.  Keep in mind when rating draft picks every aspect of the pick is considered.  Of course I look at talent, but there is so much more to it than that.  I consider value, team need, potential, and the position each guy plays.  So with that in mind here is the Buccaneers 2016 draft report card.
