Sensing a run on the offensive line, the Tennessee Titans stayed true to their word to move up and select a top tackle.
It seems Laremy Tunsil was in freefall as the Titans chose to go with the safer choice. Jack Conklin is among the most experienced and reliable in the draft. That is what this young team is looking for and they got it.

Here is what the Mocks scouting network says is what the Titans are getting.
"Nice size which fits the prototype measurements for an NFL left tackle. Good at pass blocking but even better as a run blocker. Able to drive defenders to the ground in run blocking. When latched on, Conklin can stonewall a defender. Displays consistent awareness in picking up stunts and recognizing blitzes. Experience at left and right tackle. Difficult to drive backwards as Conklin possesses a strong upper body. Aggressive and maintains physical play at the point of attack. Difficult to beat if he gets his hands on defenders first. Also shows ability to block down on interior defensive linemen."
Conklin should be able to successfully make the shift to right tackle, teaming with Taylor Lewan to help protect Marcus Mariota moving forward.
