42. It wasn’t long ago that the 49ers were one of the premier teams in the NFL and fighting for a Super Bowl. And what made those San Francisco teams of a few years ago so good? In one word, defense. That’s why I think Buckner is the perfect addition to this 49ers team as they attempt to rebuild that defense. <p>Buckner is a great pass rusher. His use of hands is lightning fast and he can blow by opposing offensive tackles. This will add some real punch to a 49ers defense that ranks 29th in sacks last year. More than just a pas rusher, Buckner is also strong against the run. He is strong enough to hold at the point of attack and fast enough to stretch out runs to the outside.
