Louisville. Sheldon Rankins. 14. player. 28. The Raiders have a lot of talented pass rushers that make their defense formidable. Guys like Khalil Mack and Aldon Smith are explosive rushers on the edge, the kind of guys that most teams wish they had. However, Oakland could still use a little bit in the inside of their defensive line. Adding a guy like Rankins could take that pass rush from very good to elite. <p>Rankins is a powerful guy and is not someone who can be pushed around easily. He uses a strong bull rush and long arms to control blockers when defending the run. He also has very good foot quickness as well as natural instincts to track down any ball carriers that. More than anything Rankins is a penetrator. He bursts into the backfield and blows plays up regularly. He has the kind of speed, size and disruptive power that I haven’t seen since Aaron Donald.</p>.
