31. Denver Broncos

45. The top four quarterbacks are gone. John Elway is a practical man. He knows reaching at this point in the draft would more than likely lead to disaster for his team. He’s much better off feeding the machine that led them to a championship in the first place in the defense. Having lost Danny Trevathan to free agency, a new fast and agile inside linebacker can’t hurt their cause.

One of the unsung players in what was a stacked Ohio State defense the past couple years, Darron Lee showed at the scouting combine just how productive a talent he can be. A superior athlete with sideline-to-sideline range but enough size to play a downhill style as both a run stopper and blitzer. The key for him will be bulking up to handle the rigors of that position and improve what was shoddy tackling most of his time in college.
. ILB. Ohio State. Darron Lee . 31. player
