It’s a fair argument but the reality is injuries played a part in those struggles. Besides, the loss of Eric Weddle is going to loom large unless they move to fill the hole he left behind. There is no more qualified talent in the country to fill it than Jalen Ramsey.

<p>There are few, if any issues with his game. He’s got the size and toughness for safety, can play the run but shows the speed and fluid athleticism to function just as well in coverage against receivers or tight ends. There is no limit to what he can do for a secondary. Instinct and ball skills aren’t lacking either. Add in winning experience at Florida State (national title in 2013) and it’s as clean and neat a pick as a team could ever ask for. San Diego would have a hard time screwing it up.</p>. S.
