30. Word has persisted that the New York Jets will move up for a quarterback if they can’t get a deal done with Ryan Fitzpatrick. It shouldn’t be a surprise. They have no options they can trust on the roster. Moving up may be their only hope of keeping their playoff dreams alive, even if it means putting their faith in a rookie. It would have to be one with talent.

One could make the case that Paxton Lynch is the most talents in this draft. He’s 6’7″, has as much arm strength as anybody, and has mobility to pick up first downs with his legs. He also doesn’t lack for confidence according to reports. That’s good because he’ll need that in a place like New York. It will be up to Todd Bowles and his staff to work through some of the kinks in his game from the inconsistent accuracy to the lack of experience running a pro-style offense.
.
