11. New York Jets (via CHI)

If there is one team that may not have a choice in terms of having to jump up the board to get the last legitimate 1st round quarterback available, it’s the New York Jets. Ryan Fitzpatrick still has not re-signed with the team and there seems to be little confidence that Geno Smith or Bryce Petty will be able to step in and take over as the starter. That increases the need to get one early.

So they swing a deal with Chicago to get up to the 11th pick and secure Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch. While not as polished as Goff or Wentz, there is no doubt the 6’7″ kid with his cannon arm may be the most talented of the three. He plays with lots of confidence, can rack up lots of numbers when he’s hot and shows surprising mobility for somebody that size. If he can improve his mechanics and accuracy, there is little argument he might end up being the best to come out of this draft.
.
