Despite missing the 2015 season after undergoing foot surgery, Jonathan Williams enters the draft as one of the top running backs on the board. In 2014, he was named second-team All-SEC with 1,190 yards and 12 touchdowns.

He put up those numbers while splitting reps with Alex Collins.

The former Razorback is hungry to return and go to battle at the next level.

Measurables

Height: 5-11

Weight: 220 lbs.

40-yard dash: 4.59 seconds

Bench Press: 16 reps

Strengths

Williams has a great combination of strength and elusiveness. He is able to run through tacklers and finish off runs but also make guys miss.

In 2014, he created 44 missed tackles.

The above video shows Williams’a ability to find holes and make defenders miss.

He creates his impressive runs by scouting out the best lane and has great vision to locate defenders.

He is also formidable in the receiving game. Williams hauled in 11 catches for two scores in 2014. Not to mention, sitting out the 2015 season means that his body is fresh and has not taken many hits.

Weaknesses

His biggest weakness is ball security. Williams fumbled the ball five times in 2014, something that will have to change in the NFL.

Williams also lacks in lower-body strength. This contributes to his sometimes questionable acceleration. With stronger legs, Williams will be able push through tacklers and hold blocks better.

His injury will also come into question. He underwent major surgery and NFL front offices will certainly have some questions about his health.

Outlook

Putting aside his foot surgery, Williams is extremely talented. He put up impressive numbers despite splitting reps throughout his career. Expect teams to look at the positives rather than the negatives, considering Williams has the capability of being a three-down back in the NFL.

Look for Williams to hear his name called in the third or fourth round to a team looking for a backup who can immediately contribute and then start down the line
