SPEED

John Fox said he wants a team that isn’t just smarter and works harder.  He wants one that is fast.  Speed at every position if possible.  Few things cover up problems on the field better than players that can run and move fast.  So this draft is centered around that requirement.

OLB. Georgia. Leonard Floyd . 11. player. 57. Athletic outside linebacker with plenty of burst off the edge and a nasty inside move.  Could become great if he improves his strength.

57. True vertical threat.  Quick off the line and can run away from the coverage down the field.  Questionable hands are what drop him to 2nd.. WR. Notre Dame. Will Fuller . 41. player

player. 57. Emerging defensive end who blew up the combine.  Could be another pass rusher but has the frame to handle more weight and maintain that position in a 3-4.. DE. Oklahoma. Charles Tapper . 72

player. 57. Played corner in 2015 due to his size and solid speed but is much better served playing safety given his ability to rough up ball carriers and play physical.. S. Maryland. Sean Davis . 106

57. Big, thumping linebacker with standout leadership qualities.  Knows how to play downhill and get into the opposing backfield.. ILB. Ohio State. Joshua Perry . 127. player

player. 57. Fast, quick and frenetic running back who can be a real problem to tackle once he’s in the open field.  Great change-of-pace back with returner ability.. RB. Alabama. Kenyan Drake . 150

QB. Louisiana Tech. Jeff Driskel . 185. player. 57. Always has the physical skill of a top quarterback but was undone by poor coaching at Florida and still has lots of catching up to do.  Big, solid arm and can run.

CB. Colorado. Ken Crawley . 206. player. 57. Struggled a lot in college but doesn’t lack for height, speed or agility.  May need coaches to get him motivated and clean up his terrible technique.

player. 57. Ivy League star with athletic potential out to yin-yang.  Made to be a pass catching tight end but will be limited as a blocker.. TE. Harvard. Ben Braunecker . 230
