Odell Beckham Jr.’s cousin, Terron, put on quite the show during his pro day.

There are freak athletes, and then there are freak athletes.

Terron Beckham is one of those truly freakish athletes.

The cousin of New York Giants’ wideout Odell Beckham Jr., Terron is making quite the name for himself as we inch closer to the NFL Draft.

More from NFL Mocks

An aspiring running back, Beckham didn’t play football in college (or even in high school for that matter) but that hasn’t hindered his dreams of playing in the league.

After the stellar performance he put on at his pro day on Apr. 7, the hopeful prospect actually has a realistic chance of being selected.

Beckham posted astonishing numbers, numbers that would’ve set the standard had he attended the combine.

At 23, the same age as his superstar cousin, Beckham showcased exactly why he deserves at least some draft consideration.

According to Connor Hughes of USA Today, Beckham benched 225 pounds 36 times, posted an 11-inch broad jump and a 44.5-inch vertical, and ran a blazing 4.47-second 40-yard dash.

But wait, there’s more.

Beckham logged a 6.80-second time in the three-cone drill, a 4.18-second 20-yard shuttle time, and an 11.31-second time in the 60-yard shuttle. All of his results from these drills would’ve ranked first among running backs at the combine, with the exception his 60-yard shuttle time, which would’ve been tied for second-best.

If those numbers weren’t already enough to show scouts why he deserves a shot in the NFL, the real-life “create-a-player” proved to be a polished prospect as well.

There’s no denying that Beckham is an unbelievably gifted athlete. The lack of involvement in football hurts his stock, but nobody is expecting him to come in day one and contribute, as he’ll obviously need some time to develop his raw skillset at tailback.

Yet after such an impressive pro day, it’s clear that Beckham could really become something special in the near future.

He’s not the first player to enter the league with little to no football experience. Future Hall of Famer Antonio Gates notably made a similar transition after playing basketball at Kent State. Several other former college basketball players – Julius Thomas, Jordan Cameron and Jimmy Graham – also went on to achieve NFL stardom with no prior football experience on their resume.

Running back may be a vastly more intricate and difficult position to master, but Beckham seems to have all the tools necessary to develop into a productive player.

In the latter portions of the draft, there’s no reason why Beckham shouldn’t expect to hear his name called. If he’s not picked, a team will almost certainly snatch him up as an undrafted free agent.

Regardless of how Beckham gets into the league, you’ve got to like his chances of making a 53-man roster heading into the 2016 season.
