S. Washington. Travis Feeney . 206. player. 57. The Bears struck it big with a late round safety a year ago in Adrian Amos. What’s to stop them from doing so again? After all, they’re keen to find an answer that will relieve them of having to rely on Antrel Rolle, who is not only dealing with age concerns but failed to stay healthy last season. Providing more depth and competition at that position is a must.

During his time at Washington, Travis Feeney started out as a safety. At 6’4″ it must’ve been quite a sight seeing a young man able to move like that since he’s a good athlete with speed. In 2015 he was asked to move to outside linebacker to cover up a key roster loss and performed well. Such versatility is a valuable asset. The Bears could shift him back to safety to see if he catches on, and if not they’ll have a promising young talent for their outside linebackers. Win-win.
