The Bears may have signed Ted Larsen and Manny Ramirez to prepare for the Slauson trade, but neither can be considered a great long-term option at left guard. They must look to add more quality depth, hopefully a player with significant upside that can become a starter in the future. Given their growing desire to run the football, they should have keen eyes for someone like Sebastian Tretola.

Coming from Arkansas, it should be no surprise he knows something about the running game. Few colleges love to do it more, and Tretola is well-suited for it. A big, hulking guard with tremendous upper body strength that can be used to blow defenders off the ball. Though not the most nimble sort he functions fairly well as a pass protector. He’s no standout athlete, but he moves better than some might realize and has solid technique to fall back on.
. OG. Arkansas. Sebastian Tretola . 150. player. 57
