The Chicago Bears know they can afford to be more aggressive in the draft to acquire high end talent thanks to their free agency.

This latest team mock draft reflects that. How do Ryan Pace and his front office go about executing it and what does the action do in terms of impact the rest of their picks? Suffice to say it was far less boring than one might expect.

1st Round (via BAL)

Myles Jack . 6. player. 57. Word has been rampant the Bears might be shopping one of their offensive lineman. For what purpose? Moving up in the draft is as good as any. By packaging Matt Slauson, a proven veteran guard, to a team like Baltimore that needs help at the position after losing Kelechi Osemele, they’re able to jump into the top 10 without spending too many of their draft picks.

No doubt they’d be doing cartwheels if they managed to snag Myles Jack. While a linebacker by designation, the UCLA standout is such a freak athlete that he could play almost any skill position he wanted. He has that kind of size, agility, toughness and above all speed. He tackles and blitzes like a linebacker but moves with effortless ease in coverage. There is no end to the number of ways he can help a defense, including a switch to safety if that team is so inclined. Jack is a playmaker.
.
