2016 NFL Draft: Jacksonville Jaguars three-round mock draft
3. Third round, 69th overall: Xavien Howard, CB, Baylor
Scouts and analysts are split on Howard, but the third round is a very good spot to take him. Some are talking about pulling the trigger on him with a first round pick, and for good reason. However, the reason that he falls to the third round is because of inconsistent play on the field. There are times when Howard looks like an All-American, and then there are times when he looks like he has no clue what he’s doing.

There are skills there, however, and those skills are worth pouring into and well worth this investment for Jacksonville, which already has some great size and athleticism at corner.
He’s picked off nine passes over the last two years, 10 over his three year career at Baylor. He is a big corner at 6-0, 201 pounds, and plays physical at the line.
At times, too physical.
He’s someone that the Jaguars and Gus Bradley would have to work hard with, but he’s a player that’s worth this draft slot for a team that has a lot of raw talent defensively and obviously a very smart defensive minded head coach.
