5th Round (via DAL)

Central Michigan. Kavon Frazier . 143. player. 28. Having grabbed their coverage safety earlier, now the Raiders seek out one who can be their physical presence around the line of scrimmage.  Some might look down on Kavon Frazier for coming out of Central Michigan, but there is no denying he is a well-built individual who brings an edge and instinct to the box.  Can deliver some punishing hits and is a reliable tackler.  He’ll be an instant hit on special teams and has the speed to function in coverage, but must improve his recognition skills.. 5th Round

C. Iowa. Austin Blythe . 154. player. 28. An injury to starter Rodney Hudson revealed just how dangerous it can be to their offense without him at center.  So finding some quality depth at the position should be a priority.  Austin Blythe won’t win any awards for size or athleticism, but the Iowa product is a tough, smart, strong and highly experienced player.  At the very least he has the capability of becoming a quality backup who can step right in and play efficient football.  If given time, he should not be counted out as an eventual starter.
