5th Round

OG. Ohio State. Chase Farris . 149. player. 31. The Giants don’t let up, continuing to add to the offensive line. One area that could do with more of an edge in terms of its physicality, nastiness and power is the guard spots. Geoff Schwartz looked like the answer but he was unable to stay healthy. So bringing in a young buck who has that sort of reputation might be just what the doctor ordered for their dormant running game.
Running the ball and mixing it up with opposing defenses is what Ohio State became known for the past few seasons and guard Chase Farris was right at the heart of it. He was one of the principle players who helped turn Ezekiel Elliott into a superstar. A former defensive lineman, he shifted to guard in the middle of his college career and his been playing catch-up in terms of gaining experience. Far from a polished gem, he is nonetheless an intriguing mold of clay that can become something much better.
