The New York Giants know they’re at a point where things could go one of two ways. Either they made the right decision firing Tom Coughlin in hopes a fresh voice could jump-start their ascent back into the NFC East fray, or he was covering up a lot of their deep roster flaws. Hopes are high that new head coach Ben McAdoo will prove it was the former, and a quality run in the NFL draft will be the springboard needed to help him. Do these latest mock selections play out in favor of that?

10. player. 31. The rabid spending in free agency has sent a clear message for the Giants, and that message is they intend not to be pigeonholed. In other words they had to make sure they made enough quality additions to the defense so that they could go after any player or position they wanted to at #10 overall. That includes finally getting a wide receiver who can compliment Odell Beckham Jr.
In many ways Laquon Treadwell is the perfect wing man. Where OBJ is known for his speed and explosiveness, the Ole Miss product has size and leaping ability. He plays a physical brand football, able to outmatch defensive backs for the ball and also make plays after the catch. At 6’2″ he also displays a wide catch radius for Eli Manning to utilize. With Rueben Randle gone and Victor Cruz unable to stay healthy, this is a pick the Giants had to make.
. WR. Ole Miss. Laquon Treadwell
