There are so many different ways the upcoming 2016 NFL draft can go for the Chicago Bears.  As most fans know, the real action will center around the first two days when the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounds take place.  Nobody but the die-hards stick around for Day 3 if only because the later rounds don’t yield many great picks.  So this will center on the main part of the action.  Of course the question becomes how many scenario could play out for the Bears that would be deemed “successes” by the experts?

In order to provide a window into the diversity and numerous different ways GM Ryan Pace could go and still come out with a productive class, here are five realistic scenarios that could play out.

1st Round

Charles Leno Jr. doesn’t strike as a true bookend left tackle who can handle elite pass rushers in the playoffs.  Ronnie Stanley has that sort of dominant talent.  He’s big, agile, polished in his technique and has improved his power base to become a force in the run game.  Suffice to say he’d be a significant upgrade over Leno, who is best served being the primary swing tackle backup.. OT. Notre Dame. Ronnie Stanley . 11. player. 57

2nd Round

player. 57. Tracy Porter and Kyle Fuller make a decent corner tandem, but nobody has reason to fear them at this point.  Artie Burns is much more the dominant athlete with length and speed who can match up with any wide receiver he faces and blanket them.  He’s just underdeveloped due to family issues.  When his technique doesn’t falter, there isn’t a person on the planet he can’t cover.. CB. Miami Fl.. Artie Burns . 41

3rd Round

57. John Fox and Ryan Pace are after players with a certain personality.  Players who have talent but are also high energy, effort and worker types who fight for everything they get.  That is the epitome of Carl Nassib.  His tireless work habits have yielded results at Penn State and he’s still tapping into the full potential of his talent.  Explosive as a pass rusher but also strong enough to stop the run.. DE. Penn State. Carl Nassib . 72. player
