Kelechi Osemele drawing interest, going to break bank
Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele is one of the best in the NFL, and will soon become the highest paid players in the league…
There’s an incredibly strong market for Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said on live TV Monday that Osemele has at least eight teams ready to make him the ‘highest paid guard in the league by far…”
He’s about to get #PAID.
And he deserves it. There’s really nothing Osemele can’t do, but he is really good at playing guard. Here he is filling in as a left tackle, making edge rushers look like garbage that needs to be taken out…
And here he is making James Harrison look like a rag doll…
And here he is playing guard, where he will likely be playing his massive contract…
This is a very good, young player entering the prime of his career. He was an All-American at Iowa State back in the day, but somehow fell into the second round for the Ravens and Ozzie Newsome punked the rest of the league by taking him and getting an All-Pro caliber player far later than he should have ever fallen.
Osemele certainly plays with power, but he’s also light on his feet and has good length. Like I said before, there’s really no part of his game that I don’t like.
Currently, Mike Iupati of the Arizona Cardinals is the highest paid guard in the NFL, making $8 million per season. Osemele could command at least $11 million per season from a team like the Oakland Raiders, but there have been reports that the Minnesota Vikings are also making a strong play.
In addition to those teams, there are the eight teams that Rap Sheet mentioned, though those two teams could certainly be part of that discussion as well.
It’ll be fun to watch it play out, but Osemele is about to make some serious bank.
