Oakland Raiders

player. 28. The Oakland Raiders had a ton of success taking a flier on a veteran safety when they brought back Charles Woodson. He was their secondary captain and a proven playmaker. What’s to stop them from doing it again, this time with a former division rival in Eric Weddle? He plays the same exact position as Woodson, has a Pro Bowl background and quality leadership traits.

At age 31 he’s not over the hill just yet. One can imagine he’ll be significantly motivated to show the San Diego Chargers they’re making a huge mistake letting him walk. What better way to do that than by joining a long-time nemesis in the AFC West and helping them win more football games? Oakland has the money and the position need. It’s as good a fit as he’s likely to find anywhere on the market.
. FS. San Diego. Eric Weddle . 8
