New York Giants

They’ve tried to make due with committee backfields the past few years and it has worked at times, but the New York Giants running game has fallen off. Rashad Jennings is no longer effective and neither Andre Williams nor Shane Vereen offer versatile skill sets beyond what they do well. Eli Manning needs a running back whom he can feed not just on hand-offs but passes as well.

It was another outstanding season for Doug Martin in Tampa Bay as he regained the Pro Bowl form he had as a rookie. His tough running style and knack for yards after contact is something the Giants could really use in order to take pressure of Manning, Odell Beckham Jr. and the passing game. Money shouldn’t be a huge issue, and it has the added bonus of keep him away from the Dallas Cowboys, who almost certainly will be in pursuit.
.
