Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Janoris Jenkins . 3. player. 48. The Alterraun Verner experiment was a failure for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now they must start from scratch in retooling a secondary that was a major weakness of their defense in 2015. Finding a corner who is capable of surviving on an island by himself is the end game. Unlike Verner, Janoris Jenkins is a far more proven product.

Despite only being 5’10”, the plucky former Florida prospect is a tremendous athlete who is physical in coverage and will make quarterbacks pay if they test him too often. Returning to the Sunshine state might sound more agreeable to him since the Rams appear set on paying the bulk of their money to Trumaine Johnson. He’s not a true shutdown guy but Jenkins can hold his own against any receiver in the game. His added prowess as a run defense should only help.
.
