player. 45. Peyton Manning is officially ready to hang it up. Not a surprise given his age and the fact it allows him to go out a champion, as it should be. The lingering question for the Denver Broncos is what do they do now that he’s gone. It’s obvious enough. Unless they’re willing to start over with a rookie from a class considered weak at the position outside of the top three, retaining Brock Osweiler is the only decision available.

The pending free agent has already been offered a considerable extension but no signing has taken place. With the franchise tag out of play, chances are he could still reach the open market. However, the odds say with Manning out of the way that the job will be his with no fear of losing it were he to come back. Throw in the money as incentive, and Broncos should have their starter in place for 2017 when they look to defend their title.
. QB. Denver. Brock Osweiler . 26
