The spending spree doesn’t let up as the Jaguars continue their mad rush to improve their defense.  Next comes the desire to shore up the back end that ranked 29th in the NFL defending the pass in 2015.  What they could really use is a rangy free safety to team with Jonathan Cyprien who can make quarterbacks think twice about challenging them down the field. <p> </p> <p>Over the past three years, Tashaun Gipson has quietly become one of the most gifted in that respect.  Despite playing for the floundering Cleveland Browns, he became one of the best ball-hawking safeties in the game.  Over the past three seasons he has 13 interceptions, and that was hampered by nagging injury problems.  If allowed to use his athleticism and instinct, he’ll be sending a few extra opportunities towards Blake Bortles and the offense.</p>.
