New York Giants

New York. Jason Pierre-Paul . 13. player. 31. Things are at such a stage for the New York Giants defense that they can ill-afford to just casually cast off proven pass rushers. Even in his deformed state due to the fireworks incident last year, Jason Pierre-Paul is still the best defensive end the team has. There are no guarantees they can replace his production if he departs.

Even in his current condition he has value and the Giants are willing to give him a year to prove it before committing to him long-term. There were signs Pierre-Paul was adjusting to life with the injury even though he only had one sack. General feelings are he’s unlikely to get a big contract elsewhere. His best bet might be to bet on himself by returning to the Giants for a shot at getting that long-term extension he would’ve gotten before the accident.
.
