New England Patriots

47. The New England Patriots have made due with a collection of castoffs, low round picks and undrafted free agents at running back for years. Sometimes it works, but most of the time their ground game is not something opponents fear. Last season that was plainly apparent from their constant inability to generate any movement, exposing Tom Brady to way more hits than normal.

He may not be in his prime anymore, but Matt Forte is just the kind of signing the Patriots would be. A great all-around football player who probably has two or three good years left in his body. Steady, dependable and versatile with his knack for catching passes out of the backfield. There are a number of ways Brady and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels can find uses for him. In return they provide the veteran with his best chance to win a Super Bowl.
.
