New York Jets

The source of the defensive success for the New York Jets last season started up front. Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson and Leonard William got most of the credit for often dominating the line of scrimmage. However, the outstanding success of the team at stopping the run came courtesy of nose tackle Damon Harrison. His size, strength and quickness made it almost impossible to move the ball on the ground.

It may not sound glamorous, but such players are often in high demand by teams and the Jets know this. That’s why he is one of their top off-season priorities. The key will come in the money. New York doesn’t have much to spend given the big deals they’ve already handed out, but the good news is his cap figure won’t be as big a hassle as it would at other positions. Chances are a deal will get done before Harrison strays too far.
.
