The next running back for me is Alex Collins from Arkansas. This dude is a power back, plain and simple. 5’10” and 217 pounds, he is straight beefy. His big knock is that he is purely a downhill runner, not very shifty and has issues with footwork and cutting. However, many backs have proven to be able to overcome that, such as Chris Ivory. He is one of the best power backs in the league now and he has shown the ability to work with his lack of shiftiness and develop into a full fledged 3-down running back.

In my opinion, Collins did not really make his stock rise a ton, but it didn’t fall either. I’ve seen him around the mid 2nd or 3rd rounds of the draft, and he has the chance to be one of the biggest steals of this draft. Like I just mentioned above for Kenyan Drake, I could see the Cowboys going for him early then maybe Drake later and create a young tandem with a top rated offensive line. As a Giants fan, it might make me sweat just a little bit.
