4th Round

CB. Purdue. Anthony Brown. 4. player. 123. Orlando Scandrick is coming off a season-ending injury. Morris Claiborne is a free agent and there is a strong chance Brandon Carr could be cut in order to clear needed salary cap space. So it wouldn’t surprise anybody if the Cowboys made an investment at cornerback. Never mind the fact 1st round pick Byron Jones may be moving to safety.

Though he can be somewhat stiff and grabby at times, Anthony Brown is a good-sized athlete who shows lots of intelligence and awareness in coverage. He isn’t afraid to man-up in press or fall back into zone. Always aware of the quarterback and executes well. He’ll have to improve his tackling, which isn’t up to Marinelli standards but with some bulking up he has the look of a starter in that Cowboys scheme.
