NFL Combine: Jake Coker and Keenan Reynolds Among Biggest Snubs

The invitations for the NFL Combine went out this week and there are some key players whose invitation must have gotten lost in the mail.

We asked members of our staff which player missing an invitation is the biggest snub of the 2016 NFL Combine.

Brady: Jake Coker surprises me, but I have to go with Keenan Reynolds. By now he must be used to getting snubbed, but despite the time he’ll devote to the Navy, he was easily one of the biggest playmakers in college football.

Rodney: James Burgess in my opinion. The ILB corps isn’t particularly deep and for him to not get an invite is a bit of a head scratcher

Shawn: May not be a big name, but I’m surprised Darion Griswold, the tight end out of Arkansas State wasn’t invited. He reportedly performed well during East-West Shrine Game practices and turned it into a Senior Bowl invite. He has good size and reliable hands despite not playing much of a role in the offense. He’s the type of prospect who should be a much better pro than college player.

Jake Coker is certainly an interesting name not in the invitation list. An Alabama quarterback who just won a National Championship certainly deserves an opportunity to prove he’s better than people think. I’m not saying I’m a fan of his play, I just think he deserves a chance.

Keenan Reynolds was another player I was surprised not to see invited. Perhaps it’s because he’s changing positions and he hasn’t been designated towards a certain position in this draft. If you have 88 rushing touchdowns in four years, you deserve a shot to show off your talent.

Finally a bit of a reach, but Larry Butler is a guy very few people know about who should get a lot more recognition. Read all about Larry’s rollercoaster college football story and his interview with NFL Mocks.
