CB. Florida. Vernon Hargreaves III. 9. player. 52. <p>Put it this way.  The pass coverage unit for the Jacksonville Jaguars was ranked 29th in the NFL this past season.  Despite improvements up front, opposing quarterbacks still had their way too often through the air, forcing the offense to constantly play catch-up.  That is no way to win in this league, and the Jaguars coaching staff knows this.  They need an upgrade (or two) at cornerback and safety.</p> <p>So they go to the Florida well again in the 1st round, this time securing the plucky and athletic Vernon Hargreaves III.  While a tad undersized at 5-foot-11, he makes up for it with explosiveness and tenacity.  He’s an excellent tackler, is rarely out of position and has the instinct to know where the football is going and how to go get it in the air.  No question he can be that guy who lines up one-on-one with the best opposing receiver every week.</p>
