Ryan Grigson continues to take a lot of heat from Colts fans for not doing more to help protect Andrew Luck by investing heavily in the offensive line. He offers them a consession here by adding Germain Ifedi. The Texas A&M lineman has all the physical tools to play inside or outside, but his lack of development would signal his best spot is at guard where his size and quickness allow him to be most effective as a pass protector. Given time though, he has the capability to move to tackle.
. 16.
In order to truly forge his 3-4 defense and he envisions, Rex Ryan needs to get the right players and it starts up front. Most of his current line are converted players from a 4-3 scheme. A great way to help along the transition would be a massive, powerful nose tackle in the middle teams will struggle to run against. Austin Johnson fits those dimensions coming out of Penn State. His lower body strength allows him to anchor against multiple blockers, freeing up teammates to make the play.
.
