87.
The Carolina Panthers’ success all season had come through the steady blocking of their offensive line, but beneath the surface there were growing concerns that the tackle spots threatened to be their Achilles heel. Sure enough Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware exposed that weakness in the Super Bowl. Michael Oher allowed a sack and two pressures while Mike Remmers allowed three sacks and seven pressures.

If there is any position that could use a significant upgrade, it’s there. Shon Coleman is their type of solution: big, long, physical, nasty and a powerful run blocker. He beat cancer while in school and has improved rapidly since being given a clean bill of health. He’ll be 25 years old this year, which will scare some but given the Panthers are ready to win now, it’s not as big an issue. Coleman has the technique, functional quickness and mentality of a tone-setter at tackle.
. OT. Auburn. Shon Coleman. 30. player
