10.
Seeing the long line of teams who are expected to go after a quarterback in the middle of the round, the Houston Texans make the bold move to jump ahead of them in a deal with Chicago to grab the 11th pick. With it they grab what they hope is that elusive franchise quarterback they haven’t been able to find since Bill O’Brien took over as head coach two years ago.

Carson Wentz remains high on several draft boards for obvious reasons. He’s a 6-foot-6 quarterback who can run as fast as a running back, understands how to direct a pro-style offense, features a strong arm that has good accuracy on his passes and a reputation as a winner. He was a two-time FCS national champion at North Dakota State. O’Brien will have to help speed up his internal clock, but Wentz is capable of doing it.
. QB. North Dakota State. Carson Wentz. 11. player
